Outdoors and Attractions
With the perfect blend of scenic landscapes and community culture, The Villages and Leesburg, FL, are ideal locations for entertainment and sanctuary. With a number of lakes and golf courses, you’ll find plenty of entertainment and activities right within walking distance. Looking for something with a more downtown feel? Head to Lake Sumter Landing and enjoy a sun-filled stroll along the boardwalk. With great shops, community events, boating and fantastic restaurants, Lake Sumter Landing offers a great night out for the whole family.
If you’re in the mood for more of an outdoor weekend adventure, hop in the car and head 40 minutes north to Ocala National Forest. With campgrounds, kayaking, hiking trails and plenty of beautiful wildlife, this 4.5 star rated TripAdvisor destination is just what the doctor ordered for an outdoor retreat.
Or if it’s something more magical you’re after, just head south and you’re roughly an hour away from downtown Orlando. With world-famous Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, SeaWorld, NBA’s Orlando Magic, MLS’s Orlando City Soccer Club, Orlando Ballet, art festivals, and a wide variety of musical theater and performance arts, there’s something for everyone in Orlando.
